There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father is the source of everything that is. Genesis 1:1 (KJV) says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Jesus Christ (Son) is True God and True Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born by a virgin. He lived as a sinless man, and died as the Substitutionary Sacrifice for all of mankind. He rose from the dead and now makes intercession for the believer to the Father. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
The Holy Spirit is the Third person of the Godhead; He indwells, guides, teaches, and empowers the believer. " And when he comes, he will convince the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment. The world's sin is unbelief in me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more. Judgment will come because the prince of this world has already been judged (John 16:8 (TLB) )."
Man was created in holiness, under the law of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from that Holy and Happy state. Now all mankind are born sinners naturally void of the holiness required by the law of God. Man's only hope is to receive the work of salvation made available through the work of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Romans 3:23-25b (TLB) says, "For all have sinned; and fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed His blood, sacrificing His life for us."
